As much as we’d rather take off to a neighbouring country this Valentine’s Day, Chinese New Year being so near is an obstacle (for the non-Chinese, it’s like not being here during insert the most important holiday and facing your grandmother’s wrath). So, we’ve come up with a list of places you can hideaway and celebrate with your significant other, especially if you haven’t gifted him/her enough of your time and attention since 2015 began.

Located in Little India, you’re guaranteed to see a different side of Singapore. If you’re looking for a retreat that’ll take care of everything, The Quincy Hotel might be a good option. Plus, there’re other perks like a bottle of prosecco, fresh strawberries and chocolates, and complimentary overnight parking. Up for other activities? We’re not ashamed to admit that this hotel has been on our bucket list for the longest time. Good looking inside and out, the property is also home to some of the best restaurants in Singapore. Their Time for Romance package comes with in room 3-course set dinner, a bottle of wine, rose petals for the bathroom, and breakfast for two at Clifford restaurant. Fingers crossed that you’ll get upgraded to the next available category – they’ll do that for you too if it’s available!
