It’s SEA Games fever at the moment, and while we’re proud that Team Singapore has gotten their highest gold medal tally ever so far, life for normal folks like us go on.  To keep things interesting for the week ahead, we’ve come up with 5 awesome things you should be doing this week. Here’s our pick of the lot.
The O.P.E.N.
Standing for Open, Participate, Engage, and Negotiate, The O.P.E.N. is a prelude to this year’s Singapore International Festival of Arts. Spanning 18 days, the festival will feature a myriad of performances, exhibitions, and films that are chillingly thought-provoking.
The O.P.E.N will take place from 16 June – 4 July 2015 at various locations.

Quarters
Presented by Avant Theatre and in conjunction with SG50, “Quarters” is a theatrical spectacle that’ll transport audiences back to 1970’s Singapore, when the ‘Kampong’ spirit was still well and truly alive. Be amazed at how people managed to instil a harmonious way of living with one another, while witness the birth of our Singaporean identity.
QUARTERS is taking place on Friday, 19 June and Saturday, 20 June from 7.30pm onwards at the Victoria Theatre.

DTW | NPH : 01 feat. LEFTO + KYODAI // Rah & Funk Bast*rd
Hailing from the streets of Belgium, DJ LeFto is now one of the hottest music properties in Europe’s electronic music scene. Come this Friday, go crazy at Club Kyo, as this talented spin-meister heats up the dance floor with his pulsating beats. Also featured at this event are Berlin-based producers, Kyodai.
The event will take place on 19 June from 9pm onwards at Club Kyo.
Admission is $20 for ladies, $25 for men (incl.1drink)

Industrial Soundtrack for the Urban Decay
The first of its kind, the Industrial Soundtrack For The Urban Decay is a music documentary that traces the origins of industrial music. Discover all that goes on behind the scenes in one of music’s most progressive genres, as all the nitty-gritty’s and dirty details are thrillingly exposed.
This event will take place on Saturday, 20 June 2015, 8pm – 10pm at Kilo Lounge.

Fête de la Musique
In what  began as a 1982 study on the cultural habits of the French, Fête de la Musique is now World Music Day – an annual celebration of music, love, and life. Ô Comptoir will be leading the celebrations in Singapore this year, with gypsy jazz band, The Gypsyfication, providing the tunes.
This event will take place on Saturday, 20 June 2015, 9PM at Ô Comptoir.
