As August moves to a close, we can celebrate what has been a historic, exciting month with more exciting stuff coming your way. Look forward to a Turkish shopping experience, great shows, festivals, and, if we say so ourselves, a pretty awesome party put together by the Nomads, too!
Turkish Delight Pop-Up Bazaar
Lifestyle boutique Edit Lifestyle brings the Turkish Bazaar shopping experience to Singapore! Taking inspiration from the legendary, 500-year-old markets of Istanbul, the Bazaar will feature goods sourced from Turkey’s best stores: gorgeous carpets, hand-tooled metal bowls, Iznik ceramics, opulent tea wares, and sterling silverware. Turkish Delight will also feature magnificent jewellery creations from the ‘star jeweller’ of Turkey, Sevan Biçakçi, whose majestic and amazingly intricate rings are crafted with his signature reverse-intaglio technique.

Open Farm Community Farmer’s Market #1
Hoping to “encourage urbanites (that’s you) to develop a deeper and more meaningful relationship with food”, Open Farm Community is holding its very first Farmer’s Market this week! Expect to find fresh local produce, including Jackfruit and Coconut Kaya (Momo Co Jams), locally handcrafted ham and sausages (Casse-Croûte), delicious cider (The Mad Tapper), delights from Tiong Bahru Bakery, and more! OFC will also be doing picnic sets with salads, pastas and other OFC favourites. There will be a community gardening session to check out too.

Imagine Dragons Live In Singapore
Riding on the back of massive singles like ‘Demons’ and ‘Radioactive’, Imagine Dragons have risen steadily to the top of music charts everywhere. After playing incredible shows and headlining festivals across the world, they arrive in town for their first-ever, hugely anticipated show in Singapore. Expect to hear plenty of old hits along with newer material from their latest hit album, Smoke + Mirrors. One of the gig highlights of the year, for sure.
The event will take place on 25 August at the Singapore Indoor Stadium from 7pm onwards. Tickets start at $98. For ticket purchases and more information, please see here.
Heineken Cities Festival 2015
The Heineken Cities Festival returns, bringing with it a slice of life from six amazing cities: Los Angeles, Madrid, Mexico City, Seoul, Tokyo and, of course, Singapore. Among other performances and exhibits, get ready for music from ‘Mariachi Nuevo Estilo’ (the Mariachi band from America’s Got Talent fame), Flamenco dancers, Geishas, and acclaimed DJ Cristian Varela from Madrid (who will be using 4 turntables simultaneously!). Head down to Chijmes for a night of beer, music and magic. Look out for limited edition Heineken Bottles available in conjunction with the festival!

City Nomads After Hours
Well, we couldn’t resist leaving this one out… City Nomads After Hours is back to round up August with a bang! This time, we take over Mariko’s with our feline friend CATS ON CRACK: since her debut at ZoukOut in 2012, there’s been no stopping this young kitten, who’s been playing at events like No Party Here and Tanjong Beach Club’s epic beach parties! Bring your friends, and we’ll bring you the good vibes. We’ve also got some incredible drink promos lined up, with all house pour spirits going for $12 nett and beers at $15 nett. We’ll see you, Saturday!
