The Principality of Catalonia’s National Day celebration may be a grim reminder of those who died during the siege of Barcelona in 1714, but Catalunya’s version is anything but sombre. A far cry from politically charged campaigns in Spain, Catalunya will be putting a spin on this day of observance by unveiling their new Pincho Set, starting 11th September 2015. For $11++, you’ll get a Tortilla and Aioli Pincho, a Spanish omelette on bread with generous layers of sliced potatoes, smothered with smooth velvety runny egg and caramelised onions, served with your choice of Cava, Red or White wine from a selected list of Spanish wine labels.
All-Italian Happy Hour Set at Bottura
Suntec City’s Bottura have just launched their all-Italian Happy Hour promotion, available every weekday 4-6pm. For $14++, tipplers can now enjoy a glass of Chianti Wine, sparkling Spumante, or craft beers by Menabrea (a brewery in Piedmont, Italy) with a slice of Piadina (Italian flatbread) and an Arancini (stuffed rice balls). Fans of spirits can also look forward to cocktails, with crowd pleasers like Americano, Bellini, and Campari Spritz on the menu.

For a bona fide Japanese fine-dining experience in Singapore, Shun Ka Shuu Tou is one of those gems we’d like to keep to ourselves. Specialising in the traditional Kaiseki (multi-course meal) style, which dates back over 500 years ago to the 16th century, Head Chef Jack Tan will be introducing a six-course menu influenced from seasonal ingredients found during Japan’s autumn period. $100Gourmet Launches Lunch in September

Giving gourmands all over the nation a chance to savour high-quality dishes at affordable prices, the $100Gourmet dining programme has been nothing short of a master stroke by Citibank. This month’s edition focuses on three young and gifted Chefs, with Top Chef Canada’s Season 2 star Trevor Bird jetting into Singapore to collaborate with Pontini’s Daniel Sarno and Cocotte’s Anthony Yeoh. Bird’s first partnership sees him teaming up with Sarno, where the focus will be based heavily  on Italian and Mediterranean fare, whereas his second set-up with Yeoh sees the pair take on the rustic flavours of the French countryside.
Perrier-Jouet F1 Champagne Brunch at The Line

Hopping onto the F1 bandwagon, Shangri-La Hotel’s popular buffet restaurant The Line will present a tantalising assortment of international dishes as part of their Perrier-Jouet F1 Champagne Brunch. Boasting a whopping total of 16 live cooking stations, diners can look forward to 13 varieties of fresh seafood on ice, as well as 10 different forms of foie gras dishes. Meat lovers will irrefutably horde around the carving stations, where six chomp-worthy roasts including the juicy 48-hour slow roasted wagyu beef leg streaked with mustard crust and the succulent Australian Stockyard Tomahawk Steak are there for the taking. The best part? Unlimited servings of Perrier-Jouët Belle Epoque 2007, of course!
