This is Spinal Tap is mockumentary in which director, Marty Di Bergi (Rob Reiner) covers the 1982 USA concert tour by prolific British rock band, ‘Spinal Tap’ as they promote their new album. The bizarre and self-obsessed rockstars find themselves in a quandary as they are faced with poor ticket sales, unfortunate onstage mishaps and creative differences that threaten to split the band. The film is a satire of the wild and pretentious behaviours of rock and heavy metal musicians of 80s.
