From 28 August to 20 September 2015, edit lifestyle will present a mystical Turkish Delight Grand Bazaar shopping installation. Taking inspiration from the famous 500-year-old Istanbul market, the pop-up will showcase the very best of traditional and contemporary Turkish design handcrafted by Turkish artisans. It will also present a selection of magnificent jewellery creations from the ‘star jeweller’ of Turkey, Sevan Biçakçi, who has never shown his work in Asia, available for the first time in Singapore.
An edit-styled version of the Grand Bazaar, shoppers will find a collection of the most beautiful Turkish artisanal wares sourced from hidden shops only locals and insiders-in-the-know are privy to: gorgeous carpets, hand-tooled metal bowls, Iznik ceramics, opulent tea wares and sterling silverware; as well as pieces from fascinating designer lifestyle Turkish brands: Haremlique homeware, ARMAGGAN objet d’art, Dhoku organic carpets, and Lokum home and bath products.
Considered the ‘star jeweller’ of Turkey, Sevan Biçakçi’s Byzantine and Ottoman styled jewellery pieces occupy pride of place in the most prestigious jewellery houses and private collections of jewellery connoisseurs across the world. Biçakçi is best known for his majestic rings crafted with his signature reverse-intaglio technique, in which monuments, mythological figures, animals, birds and flowers are carved in precious stones with intricate detail.
The Turkish Delight Pop-Up Bazaar will be held from 28th August to 20th September at Edit Lifestyle, Tudor Court, 137-139 Tanglin Rd. Check out the Edit Lifestyle website [here](http://www.editlifestyle.com/).
