An Indulgent Italian Fare for Mum at Altro Zafferano

Make it an unforgettable Mother’s Day celebration with decadent Italian fare at Altro Zafferano. For the week from 8 to 12 May 2023, Altro Zafferano offers its weekly Set Lunch menu ($78 ) dedicated to mothers and grandmothers. The menu is jointly curated by both Executive Chef Andrea De Paola and Head Chef Daniele La Rocca.
The three-course set lunch commences with three starters presenting options between a Tomato Variation with Buffalo Mozzarella, Foie Gras with Beetroot Variation, and a Big Eye Tuna Crudo served with friselle bread.

Continue with a selection of three pasta dishes. Cavatelli with Eggplant and Smoked Provola draws on flavours Chef Andrea grew up with. Minestrone and Vegetable Pearls presents a familiar staple in every Italian’s home. The Red Prawn Cannelloni with Green Peas and Cacciucco is the highlight of the menu – an innovative rendition of the celebrated cylindrical pasta, filled with Mazara red prawns and served with green peas atop housemade cacciucco.

The main course presents four alluring choices of either a Lamb Loin served with roasted Romanesco, Halibut with Zucchini Scapece and Trout Roe Mugnaia, Beef Striploin with Wild Mushrooms, or Seasonal Vegetable Timballo. Conclude the sumptuous fare with a quintessential dessert – Mamma’s Tiramisu or opt for a selection of Italian Cheeses.
