A Lighter Side of History: Preserving Singapore’s Food Heritage in the 21st Century

Food is without a doubt, an important part of Singapore’s identity. We’re a nation of foodies, people who readily traverse the island in search of famous food stalls. But how much do you know about Singapore’s food heritage?

Find out more for yourself at the drool-inducing A Lighter Side of History programme. The gastronomes from Slow Food Singapore will take you through the past and present of Singapore’s traditional food cultural heritage, as well as their take on what we can do to preserve it. With the Chinese Lunar New Year just around the corner, you will also get to witness a Lo Hei (‘Prosperity Toss’) demonstration by one of its original creator, Master Chef Hooi Kok Wai of the famed Dragon Phoenix Restaurant.

This event is happening on Thursday, 19 February at the National Museum of Singapore.

Please email with your name and contact number. Please provide the details of the other participants if you wish to register for more than 1 person.
