The Island Collective Presents: The Debut Party

The Island Collective debuts its novel brand of intimate parties at the island’s first homegrown gin distillery. Expect an intimate house party, three live original performances flown in from around Asia, exclusive art on auction, and tech house beats from DJ Vinayaka to end the night.

In the collective’s signature fashion, acts will be announced right before they take the stage, with doors opening at 6pm and the first act taking the stage at 7.30pm.

About The Collective
The Island Collective is a new brand of novel live music experiences curated for partygoers to connect with new music and art in unique venues across the island. The collective aims to provide an alternative platform for local and regional artists at all levels to engage with their listeners in a meaningful, authentic way and promote their music. Akin to Sofar Sounds and Tiny Desk, performances feature three live acts over a 2-hour set, in front of an audience of no more than 100, and in a novel setting each time.

About The Sound
One of the defining characteristics of the collective’s vision is to bring eclectic sounds and experiences to islanders. Hence, the collective’s affinity lies with genres that are more elusive on the island. These include R&B, soul, funk, reggaeton, experimental classical, Afrobeats, Cumbia, country, alternative indie, electronic, and instrumental, although this is always a surprise.

The Distillery Tour
As a nod to our Southeast Asian roots and in the spirit of promoting the richness of this region, partygoers arriving before 7pm will be treated to an exclusive distillery tour where they can expect to learn about the Southeast Asian ingredients that make up Singapore’s first homegrown gin as well as get a taste of a variety of one-of-a-kind gins.

About The Art
A complementary feature of the collective’s parties, varied art forms will accompany the sound in the creation of our signature experience. Hung art from regional creatives will be exhibited and auctioned at the party, with limited access given exclusively to guests.

Art exhibited at the collective’s parties will not appear a second time. Performing artists are also encouraged to use the collective’s platform to showcase other creative endeavours or activism.
