Let’s Get Physical: 5 Activities We’re Looking Forward to at Adult Playground

Get ready, boys and girls, to go wild at Singapore’s inaugural Adult Playground Sentosa this November. This one-day outdoor event at Siloso Beach, Sentosa, is the world’s first and largest festival to bring three of our favourite things together: sports, music, and quality booze (that’s probably as risqué as things get!).
With the 22 alternative, off-radar sporting experiences being the main event, we’ve picked 5 that we’re really excited to try:
Archery Tag
Combining the intensity of dodgeball and paintball with the skill-set of archery, two teams battle to be the first to knock out the centres of their opponent team’s targets in the game of archery tag. Time to unleash your inner Katniss Everdeen!
Mega Bounce
This one’s for those who’ve always wanted to achieve greater heights, with the trampoline at least. Mega Bounce is a bungy-assisted trampoline, which means you can leap to heights of 8 metres (20 feet) safely, and try those circus-acrobat flips and turns you’ve always dreamed of making.
Hamster Wheel
Tired of the corporate rat race? Hop into the infinitely more fun Adult Playground version, Hamster Wheel, where you’ll be literally walking on water. This fun inflatable accommodates up to five people at a time, so grab your friends and join race against other teams.
Bubble Soccer
Basically playing soccer covered in plastic bubbles (kinda like zorbing with your legs free), we’re sure we don’t have to tell you what’s the fun part. Yep, running head-on into your friends and sending each other flying in opposite directions – hooray for safe contact sports! Tip: get someone to video the game, we bet it’ll be really entertaining.
Gyrospin
Adrenaline junkies, head straight for the Gyrospin. This whirlwind adventure ride for two is definitely not for the faint-hearted or the weak-stomached, but if you still want to give it a try, get the manual operator to go easy on you.
Bonus: Jetpack

Cool activities aside, as a proud awardee of the Singapore Tourism Board Kickstart Fund, Adult Playground will be featuring homegrown talent on all fronts.
Supporters of the local music scene would be glad to know that acoustic duo Jack and Rai, much-loved indie quartet The Sam Willows, as well as pop-folk newcomers Gentle Bones will be playing their groovy tunes at this beach bonanza. The selection of local food vendors handpicked to feed hungry festival-goers include local food trucks The Travelling C.O.W and Kerbside Gourmet.
Adult Playground will also be hosting Singapore’s top bartenders in a game of Archery Tag, courtesy of the official whisky sponsor, Monkey Shoulder. Not a fan of whisky? Not to worry, you can look forward to Reyka Vodka, Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, and Hendrick’s Gin – prices start from $10.
Adult Playground is a one-day event held at Siloso Beach, Sentosa on 8 November, 2014, from 10am-7pm. Participants are required to be a minimum of 22 years old.
