Ahhh Mother’s Day. What to give to the special lady in your life, who has given you the best gift of all – the gift of life? To someone who has been there, done that, and seen it all? We know, it’s a pretty tall order, wracking your brains trying to think of something worthy of such a super lady. Well, if you’re banging your head against a brick wall, trying to come up with something for your special mamma, we have some suggestions which we hope you’ll find handy:
Cook up a storm at Coriander Leaf
Treat your mum one day early to a cooking class with Chef Samia Ahad herself. Coriander Leaf has two great cooking classes taking place on the 11th May – A Taste of the Mediterranean ($155) & The Streets of Singapore ($150) which are rounded off with a big feast up of everything that has been cooked a la Chef’s Table. For more information see their class schedule here.
Give the gift of va va voom at Blow + Bar
Make your mamma look like she just stepped out of a salon at Blow + Bar. Pampering, professional hair stylists and a cheeky glass of wine set in chic surrounds; give your mum the gift of va-va-voom with a hair wash, rejuvenating scalp massage and the perfect blow out. Because this won’t just be Mother’s Day, but a great hair day too! Read our review of Blow + Bar here. For more information see their website here.
Nail it at Manicurious
Let your mum sit back and relax in plush, vintage-style surrounds by treating her to a mani padi at Manicurious (and why not yourself at the same time) while munching on some delicious cake from Windowsill Pies and enjoying some rather nifty latte art. Read our review of Manicurious here. For more information see their website here.
Boutique and afternoon tea time at Grand Park Orchard
Head over to the Grand Park Orchard where a local inspired pop-up boutique featuring labels like hansel, Saloni Rathor and Carrie K amongst others is taking place in none other than the Presidential Suite this mother’s day. After you and ma have enjoyed your Mother’s Day All You Can Eat LOCAL High Tea ($33++ per person) you’ll receive your pass to the goodies – an exclusive keycard unlocking the door to a hidden world of apparels, bags, jewellery and more. For more information see here.
Spa time on Sentosa
Book your mum in for the ultimate pampering experience at Spa Botanica, Sentosa with all things roses – a rose massage and facial followed by a day kicking back in the jacuzzis, floating and mud pools, steam bath and waterfalls. Spa Treat for Mum is $340 ++. For more information see their website here.

Pocket friendly East Coast tricycle ride and picnic
If money is tight, or you just fancy getting outdoors, how about packing up a picnic and renting out one of those tricycles at East Coast Park? We recently got one of our mums on one and she felt like a queen! Sometimes the simple things are the most memorable.
