Epiphany’s Litfest Theatre Nights seek to showcase the work of students. Litfest is an annual event held by students that aims to promote the literary and theatrical arts to the student body and the public. Every year, we open script submissions and receive outstanding works from budding scriptwriters.
This year, Epiphany presents you with three plays that question the notions of humanity and morality.
You Don’t Get to Play God by Gina Chew
In a world where the dead walk amongst the living, a murder case is investigated by some coroners. As the coroners attempt to trace the story of the murder, they find that the murder victim isn’t the only one who’s full of secrets.
The Seatbelt Jammed by Cheryl Julia Lee
A dying father is visited by his daughter during his last moments. A cold and curt encounter slowly unfolds into a father’s attempt to seek forgiveness from his daughter.
Detention Centre by Afiah Johari
A foreigner and a HR manager are held in a detention centre before interrogation for their respective crimes. Despite their crimes being entirely different, they discover a middle ground through their disputes.
