Panda Land by Mahkampom Theatre Group, Thailand

Earth Town, a far away village amid mountains, used to be filled with sceneries of golden flower fields. But today, only one golden flower can be found hidden inside the spirit house of Pu-Jaow, the very first founder of the village. Doi Jiam is a girl who questions her village history and their way of living without the golden flower. She decides to take her journey to Sky City, the city of gold. She becomes a performer in Panda Land, a tourist theme park, alongside Panda. Whilst the Panda is treated as a star of the show, Doi Jiam is seen as a curiosity and is discriminated against by her fellow performers. But subsequently, she finds out that Panda is her true-hearted friend. The performance is presented in Thai and runs for approximately 45 minutes with a 15-minute post-show discussion facilitated by Sheila Gregory.

Panda Land is happening on Friday, 6 February at the Play Den @ The Arts House.
