5 Things To Do This Week in Singapore: 22 January to 28 January 2018

An exciting action-packed week is ahead of us as we sail towards February! There’s loads of things to see during Singapore Art Week, including the Light to Night Festival, along with a cool weekly party at CÉ LA VI, a studio launch by the folks at the Hive Lavender, and more.

To start the week off with splendour, make your way to the Club Lounge at CÉ LA VI’s  rooftop terrace for amazing cocktails and funky disco tunes by Singapore veteran DJ Brendon P (he’s clocked in over three decades in the international dance scene), best known for his eloquent demeanour and original tracks on global labels like Defected (UK) and Los Grandes (Spain). A recurring lounge night that will be your Monday fix from now on, you’ll also want to try their Old Fashioned cocktail if you dare, or go for the G&T evening spirit!

Light to Night Festival

Throughout the week, immerse yourself in a night full of spectacle and wonders! The second edition of the Light to Night Festival is planning to go big this year with music, dance, and literary events at the most iconic of spaces in the Civic District. Visual art installations with vibrant colours will light up famous landmarks – National Gallery, Asian Civilizations Museum, The Arts House and the Victoria Theatre & Concert Hall – like you’ve never seen before.

The sixth edition of BottlesXO‘s Tasting Sessions sees a new partner, WhyQ, the delivery service that brings hawker delights right to your doorstep. The Hive Studios Launch

The Hive Studios is launching at the Hive Lavender and everybody is invited! Get a glimpse of a live photoshoot by OliveAnkara as they bring out the big guns to show you what kind of effects and styles are available there. In addition to that, you’ll be able to explore the new 14,000 sqft space and network with like-minded individuals over complimentary beer. Bring your own camera too, and if you’re lucky, you’re might just get to test out the studio.

Laneway Festival 2018

It’s still not too late to get tickets for Singapore’s largest indie music festival, which returns for its eight-run in the city. This edition sees the return of Canadian crooner Mac Demarco and hip-hop collective The Internet, while international stars along the likes of Anderson .Paak & The Free National, Bonobo, and Billie Eilish make their Laneway debut.
