Scribbled – A Literary Meet

Attention all bibliophiles!

Scribbled Books Club brings to you a unique literary meet.

Talk about a book important to you.

Discover other books.

Exercise your writing muscle.

Take home a book.

All participants of the meet are required to bring a book (fiction or non-fiction) and a notebook. The only criterion that the book has to satisfy is that it should be scribbled upon – doodled, underlined, highlighted, notations in the margins; whatever suits your fancy.

At the meet, each participant will give a brief introduction of their book, share their thoughts about the book, read out some of the highlighted portions or scribbles and explain why they are important to her/him. The maximum time limit per participant is 10 minutes.

The other participants in the meantime can write down their thoughts on the book, the reader or whatever is going through their mind at that moment, in their notebooks. You can write as much or as little as you wish, but you must write.

If there are others who have read the book, they will be invited to share their thoughts on the book else we move on to the next participant.

At the end of the meet, each participant has to hand over their book and notebook to the organizers. These will be displayed for half an hour and everyone is welcome to browse. At the end of the meet, each participant gets to take home a book and a notebook, chosen at random by the organizers (excluding their own).

Please note that this is an adults-only (age 18 and above) event.

Registration: If you wish to speak about a book, please email Megha Singh at with your name, email ID, mobile number and the name of your book. However, if you only wish to listen in and/or join the discussion, just drop by.

The meet will start at 2.30pm till 5.30pm at Post-PopUp, Studio #01-07, Block 38 Malan Road, Gillman Barracks

Gary is one of those proverbial jack of all trades… you know the rest. When not writing about lifestyle and culture, he dabbles in photography, graphic design, plays four instruments and is a professional wearer of bowties. His greatest weakness: spending more money on clothes than he probably should. Find him across the social world as @grimlay
