Not one, not two but a total of nine photobooths housed in their latest double-storey outfit on Haji Lane. Turning up the photobooth game in Singapore, Solace Studios even has low-angle and fisheye booths. Immerse in eclectic Y2K vibes at the Checkered Room, or take the photo experience to the next level at the Elevator Room. Like their other three outlets, you can pick and choose your props, headgear, and eyewear to express yourself and freshen up at the vanity area, which is equipped with hair dryers and straighteners to look your best. Additionally, they offer a variety of background colours in different rooms, so you can select the ones that bring out your features the best. Certain rooms have cameras set to take specialised shots, like close-up, half-body, or full-body, so you may have to use a wired shutter. Although the wait for your Fotoautomat print strip will take about four minutes to process, you’ll receive a one-of-a-kind vintage print strip that’s freshly developed inside the photobooth. So, yes, there’s a mini darkroom housed inside, complete with chemical washing functions! With its manual camera system set at a fixed focal length, this analogue photochemical booth etches your smiles and memories, frame by frame, onto a film strip, giving you the grainy black-and-white vibes of vintage film.

Posing up may feel a little challenging at first, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll have some unique shots to remember this moment by. Do note that a five-minute timer is set when there is a large crowd, so research your poses beforehand.
