An update to City Nomads’ event listings

For the past few years, City Nomads has offered a free self-submission tool that allowed anyone to submit events to our website, across a wide range of formats and topics.

As we look ahead to 2026, we’ll be phasing out this self-submission events listing system by 9 January, as part of a broader editorial and SEO refresh. Moving forward, our events coverage will return to a more curated, editorial-led approach. This allows us to:

  • Better align featured events with our audience’s interests
  • Improve content quality and long-term search performance
  • Focus on editorial storytelling around events, rather than maintaining a broad listings calendar

This shift reflects a move from listings to more meaningful coverage. While we’ll no longer be accepting events via self-submission, we continue to welcome press releases, pitches, and partnership enquiries for event coverage.
