Step aside Hungry Ghost – a new spectre is in town. He’s prowling the stage in Rajiv Joseph’s smart, savagely funny drama. Fresh from two critically acclaimed Broadway productions, one starring Academy Award winner Robin Williams and produced in Singapore for four nights only!
This groundbreaking Pulitzer nominated American play explores both the power and perils of human nature, the search for freedom, and the existence of the after-life. Both man and beast struggle to find meaning in an increasingly fragile landscape as the Bengal Tiger prowls the streets of Baghdad and joins human voices in asking, “Why am I here?”Violence, anger, greed, forgiveness and redemption are examined in funny, touching and insightful exchanges between man and beast, the living and the dead. The eerily rich narrative of this award-winning play is based on a real-life incident which occurred in the early days of the American Invasion of Iraq in 2003.
This play will run from Wednesday, 14 October till Sunday, 17 October 2015 at the DBS Arts Centre – Home of the SRT. Tickets are priced at $37 (Wed), $42 (Thu – Sat), $22 for students and are available at [SISTIC](http://www.sistic.com.sg/events/bengal1015).
