TinHill Rockfest 2015

As the Bukit Timah constituency celebrates its 60’th birthday, and as part of its contribution to the PAssionArts Festival 2015, the Bukit Timah Community Club (BTCC) is proud to present the inaugural TinHill Rockfest, a celebration of the best home-grown Indie rock in Singapore. TinHill Rockfest will be held on Saturday, August 29 at the Merlion Sports City@Bukit Timah, a new sports field at 790A Dunearn Road (corner of Dunearn and Swiss Club Roads). It will be an 8-hour music extravaganza, from 3:00pm till midnight, featuring 9 of the top Indie rock acts in Singapore, such as Anechois, Caracal, Charlie Lim, Havana Social Club, Inch Chua, Plain Sunset, Pleasantry, Silhoutte, and Taj. Each act will play a 45-minute set.

As Eugene Yang founder of the TinHill Rockfest puts it: “Who says Singapore is a music desert? This sumptuous buffet spread of the top local talent shows just how far Singapore rock has come, from the early simplistic chords of the 60s, to the complex harmonics of today– much like the explosive growth and dynamic progress of our own nation. This is BTCC’s gift to SG50!”

Food and drinks as well as CDs by the rock bands will be available for purchase at the festival.
