Blue Man Group
International entertainment phenomenon Blue Man Group will be making their debut in Singapore this month. Part of a new worldwide tour, the acclaimed stage show is best known for its trio of bald and blue performers, promising you an outrageous evening of entertainment, music, and lots of laughs. This run mark the group’s 25th year together and features brand-new music, fresh stories, custom instruments and state-of-the-art technology.

Liao Zhai Rocks!
Watch sparks fly as the stellar new cast (Joanna Dong as the fox spirit Ying Ning with veteran Taiwanese actor Inred Liang co-leading as scholar Sang Xiao) takes on this reinterpretation of the Chinese classical text The Strange Tales of Liao Zhai. Fusing modern rock music with tradition to cut across languages and cultures, the production was first staged by The Theatre Practice in 2010.
Liao Zhai Rocks! is running from 31 March to 17 April 2016 at the Drama Centre Theatre. Tickets are priced at $81, $71, $51 and are available via SISTIC.
Listening To Taiwan – National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra
The National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra makes its highly-anticipated Singapore debut this April at the Victoria Concert Hall, led by Artistic Advisor Wen-Pin Chien. The programme will showcase modern Taiwanese compositions alongside classical favourites over two evenings, including Shui-Long Ma’s Concerto for Bamboo Flute, Nan-Chang Chien’s Dragon Dance, Tyzen Hsiao’s Violin Concerto in D major, Brahms’ First Symphony and Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony.

Il Divo Amor & Pasion Tour
Following the success of their last concert tour in 2014, multinational vocal group Il Divo is back in Singapore with their new Amor & Pasion World Tour. As the world’s first and most successful classical crossover group, the foursome and their genre of operatic pop has sold 30 million album and 160 gold & platinum certifications under their belt. The latest tour is their most ambitious (and sexiest) yet, dishing out the flavours and sultry rhythms of Spain, Cuba, Argentina and Mexico – featuring hits like Adagio, A Las Mujeres Que Yo Ame, and Besame Mucho.

Shakespeare in the Park – Romeo and Juliet
“For never was a story of more woe, than this of Juliet and her Romeo.” Singapore Repertory Theatre has captivated thousands with its annual production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest, The Merchant of Venice, Othello, Twelfth Night, Macbeth, and A Midsummer Nights Dream. Armed with the greatest love story ever told this year, it’s time to spread your picnic blanket under the stars and relish in this tale of forbidden love by an amazing international cast, directed by Daniel Slater.

The Superstars of Ballet
In partnership with Voilah! Festival 2016, Superstars Of Ballet features the top 12 principal ballet dancers in the world from Paris Opera Ballet, English National Ballet, and the American Ballet Theatre of New York. Talented stars like Daniil Simkin, Laurretta Summerscales, Dinu Tamazlacaru, and Yonah Acosta will be performing highlights some of the most internationally renowned French ballets like Le Corsaire and Brel.

Cameron Mackintosh’s Les Misérables
Returning 20 years after its last run in Singapore, Les Misérables is the iconic tale of heartbreak, passion, and the resilience of the human spirit. Set against the backdrop of 19th century France, it’s one of the world’s most popular musicals with 125 awards and having been seen by over 70 million people. Featuring beloved songs such as I Dreamed a Dream, On My Own, and One Day More, this breathtaking new production has been completely reimagined with glorious new sets and staging, including real gunshots and pyrotechnics.

Anderson + Roe Piano Duo: The Forte Awakens
Nicknamed “Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers of the keyboard”, watch the endearing and dynamic piano duo Greg Anderson and Elizabeth Joy Roe fashion an entirely new concert experience with fresh repertoire and familiar favourites, including Ravel’s La Valse, Rachmaninoff’s Suite No. 1, Piazzolla’s Libertango, and more. For the first time here, the pair will also perform the complete suite of their unique and thrilling transcriptions on the Three Star Wars Fantasies.

Pangdemonium’s Rent
Local production company Pangdemonium will be presenting the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize-winning musical Rent as part of their 2016 season later this year. Telling the story of a group of 20-somethings facing a future of fear and uncertainty, the folks at Pangdemonium will be celebrating their 20th anniversary with this much-loved classic of hope, humanity, friendship, and love. Directed by Tracie Pang and stars Benjamin Chow, Linden Furnell, and Mina Kaye.
