Artisanal Malay and Indian Delicacies at Town Restaurant
Town Restaurant’s Artisanal Malay and Indian Delicacies Spread
Experience the finest of Malay and Indian cuisine at Fullteron Hotel’s Town Restaurant, starting this week! Freshly made with tedious traditional methods by mother and son duo Letchmi and Daniel Surendan (owners of humble hawker stall, Heavens, at Ghim Moh Road), familiar local treats like Putu Mayam, Royal Thosai, and Appam will be featured in the buffet spread. In addition to these familiar flavours, Chef Daniel will meld contemporary and nostalgic tastes in his innovative dishes, such as Daging Masak Itam (squid ink braised beef) and Flower Crab Assam Rasam (tangy and spicy soup with flower crab meat). Rather atypical, we know, but such bold dishes were real winners to us.
The Malay and Indian delicacies can be enjoyed at Town Restaurant’s dinner buffet with its extensive spread of international delights from 9-19 July 2015 $55++ per adult and $28++ per child.
Mezza9 launches Locally Inspired Cocktails
Mezza9’s Milotini
Mezza9‘s martini bar is famed for their, well, martinis, and their half-price happy hour (6pm-9pm daily except Sunday). Recently, we tried all nine new flavours of their Singapore-inspired cocktails. Featuring smooth and crisp Effen Vodka from Holland, these fun cocktails will be a hit even with the most discerning of cocktail connessieurs. Our personal favourites have got to be the Chinchowtini (yes with real grass jelly bits!), Pisangtini (that’s banana if you can’t tell), and the Milotini, which we enjoy simply because it’s an adult take on our favourite childhood drink.
Tanoshī Jikan at Bincho
Bincho’s Tsukene Chicken Meatballs
If you guessed that Tanoshī Jikan means Happy Hour in Japanese, you’ve got it right. The folks at kopitiam-turned Japanese gastrobar Bincho have launched their happy hour this month; expect 25% off their Japanese craft beers from breweries like Swan Lake, Ryujin Ozeno, and Ise Kadyoya. Available Tuesdays to Sundays 12-3pm and 6-8pm, we suggest ordering up some of their delicious yakitori like Tsukune Chicken Meatballs to go with your brew.
Cuts@Edge
The sumptuous spread over at Cuts@Edge
Carnivores, sink their teeth into the best of meat over every Tuesday at Edge, Pan Pacific’s gastro-tainment buffet restaurant. If you enjoy the pure, flavourful taste of beef, then we say go for the Beef Carpaccio with shaved Parmesan and Arugula salad. Alternatively, go for gold with hearty mains like the tender Wagyu Rump with Red Wine Sauce or the succulent Beef Wellington. And be sure to try Edge’s signature range of sausages while you’re at it!
Priced at $78 per adult (inclusive of unlimited local beverages, coffee and tea), Cuts@Edge is available every Tuesday evening from 6.30pm to 10.30pm at Edge, Pan Pacific Singapore.
Saint Pierre Summer Menu
Experience the sun-drenched days of a French summer with Saint Pierre‘s new Summer menu! Delve into the best of seasonal produce with starters such as organic Heirloom Tomato with White Balsamic Sorbet, and tantalising mains like Steamed Black Cod and Miso Broth. If you’re looking for an indulgent experience, then we’re sure the 5 Course Classic Menu ($128++/person) with dishes like Hokkaido King Crab with Compressed Watermelon and 36-hour braised Beef Short Rib will tickle your fancy.
