Artisanal Malay and Indian Delicacies at Town Restaurant

Artisanal Malay and Indian Delicacies Spread
Town Restaurant’s Artisanal Malay and Indian Delicacies Spread

Experience the finest of Malay and Indian cuisine at Fullteron Hotel’s Town Restaurant, starting this week! Freshly made with tedious traditional methods by mother and son duo Letchmi and Daniel Surendan (owners of humble hawker stall, Heavens, at Ghim Moh Road), familiar local treats like Putu Mayam, Royal Thosai, and Appam will be featured in the buffet spread. In addition to these familiar flavours, Chef Daniel will meld contemporary and nostalgic tastes in his innovative dishes, such as Daging Masak Itam (squid ink braised beef) and Flower Crab Assam Rasam (tangy and spicy soup with flower crab meat). Rather atypical, we know, but such bold dishes were real winners to us.

The Malay and Indian delicacies can be enjoyed at Town Restaurant’s dinner buffet with its extensive spread of international delights from 9-19 July 2015 $55++ per adult and $28++ per child.

Mezza9 launches Locally Inspired Cocktails

Mezza9's Milotini
Mezza9’s Milotini

Mezza9‘s martini bar is famed for their, well, martinis, and their half-price happy hour (6pm-9pm daily except Sunday). Recently, we tried all nine new flavours of their Singapore-inspired cocktails. Featuring smooth and crisp Effen Vodka from Holland, these fun cocktails will be a hit even with the most discerning of cocktail connessieurs. Our personal favourites have got to be the Chinchowtini (yes with real grass jelly bits!), Pisangtini (that’s banana if you can’t tell), and the Milotini, which we enjoy simply because it’s an adult take on our favourite childhood drink.

When not travelling around Singapore searching for the best iced coffee, Stephanie can commonly be found checking out museums, waiting in long queues for bubble tea, and taking her two dogs out on walks.
