His journey from being an audiologist working with hearing impaired children to a writer of thriller fiction might seem odd, but after reading his stunning debut novel, Before I Go To Sleep, SJ Watson’s career change leaves none in doubt that it was an excellent move.
Selling over 4 million copies so far and made into a film starring Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth, the gripping novel is a terrifying exploration of what it is like to lose your memories. Head down to The Arts House for an evening with Watson as he takes you to the edge of your seat and beyond.
This session is moderated by Deputy Director of the National Book Development Council of Singapore, Kenneth Quek, and is in collaboration with the Melbourne Writers Festival.
This event takes place at The Arts House’s Blue Room on 28 Aug 2015, from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. Admission is free but entrants must register [here](https://www.eventbrite.sg/e/world-lit-sj-watson-tickets-17685645241). There are limited spots remaining.
