What comes to mind when you think sky high parties and fireworks so close you can almost reach them with your fingers? For us, it’s Marina Bay Sands — because when it comes to experiencing a magical year end, it’s hard to get them beat. From hearty festive menus and treats to all-out countdown parties, here are five restaurants in the resort to rein in 2019 in style!
Adrift
Adrift is set to present a very ambitious New Year’s Eve Dinner, and they’ve already got us drooling. Priced at $188++, the exclusive five-course dining experience includes a Salad of Spanner Crab with cured egg and macadamia, as well as Confit Ocean Trout with sorrel soured cream and caviar. For your main? A Dry Aged Striploin Steak with seasonal sauces and condiments. To complete the epicurean experience is a beverage pairing of special cocktails and wines for $100++ — worth the splurge, we say.

Spago
The ultimate countdown celebration comes in the form of Spago Lounge’s One Night in Havana Party ($99++ per entry after 9pm), a groovy fun-filled celebration that takes you on a journey to Cuba. Happening 7pm all the way through midnight, start with a welcome glass of champagne or Cuban-inspired cocktail before lying back into your seat while waiting for the big fireworks moment. In fact, why not spice up the night and opt for an even more extravagant celebration with table reservations (from $500++ to $1,000++) that look right down into Marina Bay?
What else: If you prefer a more intimate dinner, Spago Dining Room has a New Year’s Eve dinner with luxurious delicacies such as Snake River Farms American Wagyu New York Sirloin Steak and Veal Ragu with Black Truffle Riccota Gnocchi. More details here.

Yardbird Southern Table & Bar
We love fried chicken all year round, but really, is there a better time to eat them than New Year’s Eve? But that’s not all Yardbird has to offer. With two curated set menus, the first ($98++) sees signatures favourites like the Uni Baked King Crab, Fried Chicken, and nostalgic Mama’s No-Bake Cheesecake. The second, at $225++ is a whole step up with Pork Belly and Chicken Caviar, Japanese Wagyu and Crab Cake, as well as a Fig and Lime Tart.
What else: For a lighter meal, Yardbird’s Fireworks Menu features a choices of three popular dishes: Lewellyn’s Fine Fried Chicken, Fried Green Tomato BLT, and Oysters & Bubbles. Bubbly lovers can also enjoy a free-flow of Piper-Heidsieck Champagne. More details here.

Nostra Cucina
Celebrate New Year the Italian way with a special four-course tasting dinner at this posh joint. Priced at $138++, guests can expect refined classics including a succulent Foie Gras Torchon paired with Jack Fruit Mostarda, or a tender Beef Short Rib Agnolotti followed by Almond Wood-grilled Beef Tenderloin Marsala. For the ultimate libation, top off your already lavish celebration with a Riserva Wine Pairing ($100++).

This exclusive club lounge — yes, it’s a whopping 55 floors up in the air — is offering an opulent New Year’s Eve Buffet spread at $258++ per adult. Treat yourself to unlimited servings of premium delicatessen meats and cheese, seafood, and highlights such as Braised Baby Lamb Shank, Baby Lobsters, and Sakura Egg & Crustacean Royal with Caviar. And from the live station, endless cuts of Wagyu Prime Rib and Spanish Pork Tomahawk followed by glorious sweet treats from the dessert table. Think of it as fuelling up for the new year, with chocolate barks, bonbons, and White Chocolate Lemon Cheese Puddings. You might even want to top up $55++ for free-flow flutes of Champagne as you soak in that amazing panoramic view.
