From the return of Garden Beats, to a rooftop reggae party with mouth-watering Jamaican food. Looking for a momentary escape from reality? Whisk yourself away to a simple village in the 1930s through an interactive theatre production.
Garden Beats 2020
Singapore’s pioneer carbon-neutral music fiesta returns for its sixth year with a larger space and two stages. With activities planned around music, art and conscious living, your day is set. Jam to live music by headliners like rock band FOALS and indie duo Gioli & Assia amongst others, explore interactive art installations and get involved in the sustainability movement via thought-provoking discussions and workshops. Don’t worry about going hungry – foodpanda’s Food Village is staffed with a variety of restaurants like Fat Prince, Don Ho, and Papi’s Tacos to keep you fuelled.

Good Dates Bad Dates
If the concept of romance and courtship has always befuddled you, HAFI’s solo art show is definitely up your alley. A Singapore based artist who has had her fair share of dates gone wrong turns her personal experiences into visual interpretations, through her quirky, cartoon-inspired illustrations alongside live visuals by fellow moving image artist Clara Lim, who goes by the pseudonym Clarrot.
Good Dates Bad Dates is opening on February 27, 7.30pm at Oxley Bizhub Singapore and will run till 15 March. Admission is free. Register here.
Unwind at Potato Head X Singapura Dub Club
Three words – Rooftop. Reggae. Party. In collaboration with lifestyle destination Potato Head Singapore and Jamaican jerk marinade brand Suka Suka, Singapura Dub Club’s is hosting a Funktion-One sound-system enabled evening on Keong Saik Road. Alongside Caribbean-inspired food and beverages, the purveyor of  Dub, Reggae, Dancehall and Bass music culture in Singapore has invited DJs like ALX (Portugal) and Rushmo (South Africa), to be part of the line-up, with Deborah Emmanuel  contributing Dub poetry too.

Party at Kelab Malam: Aresha/Eden/Mr.Has
Return to the days of intimate partying with Kelab Malam as it returns for its next session. Happening every last Friday of the month, this month’s edition will be helmed by veteran DJs Mr Has, Eden YC and Singapore’s queen of drum and bass – Aresha. With local snacks to munch on as you get your groove on to the genre-bending soundscape, it will be a party you won’t want to miss.

Hurtsville: The Heir
A one-of-a-kind theatre production by Underground, Hurtsville: The Heir takes you back to the 1930s at the height of the Great Depression in a truly interactive experience. Audience members are encouraged to engage with the set, uncover hidden rooms and choose characters they would like to follow – which in turn leads to unique outcomes – alongside a 1930s-style three-course banquet.
Hurtsville: The Heir runs from 1 March till 20 April on Sundays and Mondays only at 265 South Bridge Rd, Singapore. Tickets are priced from S$85.
