This week sees a New York-based D&B upstart at Cherry, a fascinating interactive exhibition on Israel, a one-night only show by renowned British comedian Bill Bailey, and more.

Back for a night of high-quality D&B and Jungle & Bass music is SUB CITY, bringing together some of the city’s rawest DJs, and a special guest all the way from New York City. Dave Oven’s back catalogue includes releases on Liquid V, Rubik, and the omnipresent Good Looking Records, and includes airplay on the acclaimed BBC Radio’s 1Xtra. Listen to Owen’s smooth soul, jazz, R&B, and hip-hop as he takes over the deck at Cherry together with Revision Music selectors RAH & Senja on support.

Open a Door to Israel: A Multi-Sensory Virtual Exhibition
Have you always wanted to learn more about the enigmatic Israeli culture? Debuting this year, Open a Door to Israel is a unique multi-sensory installation curated by the Embassy of Israel and Singapore is its only Southeast Asian stop. Discover and interact with nine themed doors that each reveal a different aspect of the Middle Eastern country’s vibrant society, and other core values like family, education, arts and culture, technology, and entrepreneurship (it’s called the Startup Nation for a reason). Employing cutting-edge technology, you can also look forward to an innovative multimedia show with a special synchronised robotic screening technology!

ZoukOut 2016
Yes, it’s that time of the year again for Asia’s premier music and dance festival. The electronic music extravaganza is all set for a super-sized sweet sixteen, bringing the very best of dance music to the shores of Siloso beach over two days. Returning to headline the Singapore stage is legendary DJ and record producer Hardwell, who’s continued to dominate the DJ Mag’s top 3 rankings for several years now, along with Zedd, Martin Garrix, CyberJapan Dancers, and a lot more. One thing’s for sure: it’s gonna be lit up like no other.

The Yard’s Christmas Festival: Flips, Food & a Boutique Fair
After a huge launch party in August, The Yard is once again opening its doors to the public for its first ever Christmas Festival. It’s no ordinary event for sure, boasting a heart-stopping acrobatic spectacle with high-performance gymnastics, trampolining, as well as parkour displays. Then, shop to your heart’s content in preparation for Christmas with a marketplace featuring more than 50 boutiques from brands like MATTER, WineFamily, Rae, and MusicGear, and Simply Silk. Ah, there’ll be plenty of food trucks to get your belly full too.

Bill Bailey – Larks in Transit
Bill Bailey, one of Britain’s most beloved comedian, actor, and musician, is all set to perform his brand new show Larks in Transit. A compendium of his travelling tales and the general shenanigans that come with it, look forward to impressive music virtuosity, surreal tangents, and his trademark intelligence as he tackles politics, death metal, philosophy, the pursuit of happiness, and even an excruciating encounter with Paul McCartney. Look forward to 20 years of material and work condensed into two hours.
