Emporium Shokuhin
If you’ve ever explored the new retail wing at Marina Square, chances are you’ve come across Emporium Shokuhin, the first Japanese emproium to integrate a live seafood market, a beef dry-aging facility, a premium grocer, and of course, eight unique dining concepts. Head to Gyuu+ Yakiniku Grill for grilled A5 Miyazaki beef or Umi+ Vino Seafood for Alaskan King Crab legs.

Picnic
Picnic is as much about the dining experience as it is about the food. Step into the beautiful ‘alfresco’ garden to find 13 food trucks dishing out traditional favourites and contemporary dishes from the East and West. Taiwan Treasures offers the classic beef brisket soup, while you’ll find the unique Vodka Rigatoni at Flour & Water. Things get a little fusion with the Pork Belly Taco from Tikka Taco, along with the rare Butadon (unique to the city of Tokachi) from Ezo. Along with other French and American eats, Picnic also houses its own third-wave coffee and cocktail bar.

Itadakimasu by PARCO
itadakimasu by PARCO is Singapore newest one-stop Japanese dining destination, offering seven authenthic Japanese restaurants on the third level of 100AM. The massive Japan Food Town at Wisma Atria lets you experience the many flavours of Japanese cuisine with a staggering 16 handpicked casual dining establishments from all over the country. Highlights include Bonta Bonta, which specialises in onigiri made with Kinmemai rice; Anzu, which serves produce solely from Kyushu such as deep-fried black pork; and Machida Soten, the ramen bar known for its signature tonkotsu shoyu broth. If you are a sake fan, you won’t want to miss out on the Dassai Bar – where you’ll find the rare Dassai 23 and a limited edition Sakura Sling cocktail commemorating 50 years of Singapore-Japan diplomatic relations.

An offshoot from the original Turf Club gourmet marketplace, PasarBella@Suntec City showcases 11 fantastic food concepts in the convenience of the city. At Timbre+, food feeds the body and music feeds the soul. Conceptualised by the same people behind one of Singapore’s biggest live music bars, this urban food hall offers over 10 restaurant-grade stalls. Grab some Taco Tuesday or Thirsty Thursday specials from Vatos Express, drown in seafood at Dancing Crab Shack, try the street snacks of India at Chit Chaat Chai, or hop by Kush for localicious skewers sets and ribeye steak. FIVE Square
The latest flagship outlet of the FIVE Bar Group puts together five food stalls in a large hall big enough for 300. Here you’ll find bowls of really good Asian-style noodles (miso pork noodles!) at Grub Noodle Bar, DIY kaisendons at Teppei‘s quick-service Syokudo stall, salads from Omnivore, Spanish small plates from Cinqo Tapas, and spicy hot Korean fare from Gogi. It gets crowded at night, but a fully automated self-service and payment kiosk makes getting your food so much faster. Come night, a small stage near the bar – where the beer is cheap too – will see live music performances by local artistes.

Essen @ The Pinnacle
The quality of the food at Essen @ The Pinnacle means that its customers are more than just residents.
