The American Writers Festival (AWF) in Singapore returns for its fifth edition in September. Inaugurated in 2010, the AWF showcases a diverse range of American writers working in different genres. The festival opens dialogues and breaks barriers between writer and reader, presenting an opportunity to engage with some of today’s celebrated American authors.
For the 2015 edition, festival goers will be able to attend feature readings, talks and panel discussions by Pulitzer Prize winning novelist and short story writer Adam Johnson, Poet Laureate of Brooklyn Tina Chang, Pulitzer Prize finalist playwright and screenwriter Rajiv Joseph, award-winning travel writer Michael Meyer and acclaimed author and journalist Nisid Hajari. AWF 2015 is co-hosted by Yale-NUS College and Singapore Management University.
The American Writers Festival has events at various locations in SMU and Yale-NUS College, from the 14th to 17th of September. Admission is free but attendees must register online. The full schedule of events and links to register can be found [here](http://www.americanwritfest.org/#!schedule/cjg9).
