New year, new you? If you’re trying to start 2017 on a healthy note, you’ll be glad to know that food delivery service Deliveroo has an all-new initiative to help you achieve those fitness goals.
Joining forces with Deliveroo is UFIT Singapore, our city’s largest independent fitness community providing an array of fitness programmes like bootcamps, crossfit, personal training, and even sports camps for kids.
The partnership kicks off 14 January 2017, with Deliveroo sponsoring UFIT’s four-week ‘Clean and Lean‘ challenge. From then till 5 February 2017, the male and female who loses the most amount of body fat during this time period wins the challenge and a health & wellness package (and of course, bragging rights!). And to help all participants maintain a clean diet – which means cutting out sugar and highly processed foods -, Deliveroo will be highlighting their healthy restaurants with a ‘red apple’ emoticon, so you know that ordering from those restaurants is no threat to your path to victory.
Participating restaurants include crowd favourites The Daily Cut and Grain Traders. If you love meat, the former is right up your alley with their healthy protein salads with decent meat portions alongside your choice of complex carb and supplements like sous vide egg and broccoli. With a similar ‘build-your-own-bowl’ concept, the latter takes the cake when it comes to being creative with greens (think Apple Kimchi and Wafu Tomato) and sauces (we love the Beetroot Feta Yogurt and Miso Caramel).
Other Deliveroo restaurants we’d happily order from include Aloha Poké, which dishes out Hawaiian salads loaded with greens, brown rice, and fresh, raw tuna or salmon cubes, and YOLO, which design their signature dishes according to fitness goals like “Shape Up” (weight loss), “Build” (to bulk up), and “Glow” (for better skin).
What’s more, anyone who orders from the participating restaurants will receive a series of ‘desk workouts’ and nutrition fun facts – product of the combined wisdom of this partnership that’s perfect for the workaholic, desk-bound you. And UFIT members, we have even better news. You’ll benefit in kind from Deliveroo voucher codes, which means more affordable healthy meals before or after your UFIT workout. What more could you ask for to help keep track of your fitness journey?
So eat well, and ‘roo it today!
