An update to City Nomads’ event listings
For the past few years, City Nomads has offered a free self-submission tool that allowed anyone to submit events to our website, across a wide range of formats and topics.
While looking ahead to maintain curation of relevant content for our audience, we phased out this self-submission events listing system on January 2026 January, as part of a broader editorial and SEO refresh. Moving forward, our events coverage will return to a more curated, editorial-led approach.
This allows us to:
- Better align featured events with our audience’s interests
- Improve content quality and long-term search performance
- Focus on editorial storytelling around events, rather than maintaining a broad listings calendar
This shift reflects a move from listings to more meaningful coverage. While we’ll no longer be accepting events via self-submission, we continue to welcome press releases, pitches, and partnership enquiries for event coverage.
So yes, if you’re wondering how to get your event featured moving forward, please contact us and select the subject option “Events and Listings”. We will review submissions and be in touch in case it’s a good fit for our next events-related features.
