a photo of a daschund dong sitting on a chaiar outdoors

Life is always better with a dog and now in Singapore, dining out with your four-legged friend has never been easier. Thanks to updated regulations introduced earlier this year, cafes and restaurants no longer need special approval to welcome pets in their outdoor areas (as long as food isn’t served directly to them). Whether you’re in the mood for a seaside escape, a stylish café, or a laid-back brunch, we’ve rounded up the best pet-friendly places in Singapore. From cafes and restaurants to beach clubs that go the extra mile for both you and your dog. And if you’re planning a full day out, check out our guide to pet-friendly hotels in Singapore for the perfect staycation.

Located within the very pet-friendly One Holland Village, Plain Meredith is an extension of Baker’s Brew, a pet-friendly café that allows fur kids both indoors and outdoors, making it the perfect venue to beat the heat and rain. As well as a delicious all-day brunch and breakfast menu for you, Plain Meredith also offers a pet treat corner with yummy tailor-made cookies, freeze-dried treats and a special Pet Food Menu for your little pooch.

Order from a selection of 100g of protein, with mixed greens and pumpkin puree, such as Porky Meatballs ($15), Ribeye Steak Bites ($16.50), and Baked Sassy Salmon ($16). And there’s pet-friendly dessert for them too! While you’re tucking into your ice cream & waffles, it’s only fair that your pooch should too! Choose between the Blueberry Burst Ice Cream (with blueberries, lactose-free milk, kefir, chia seeds and egg yolk ) or the Strawberry Paradise Ice Cream (with strawberries, pomegranate, and coconut water) for something dairy- and lactose-free ( $10.80 each).

Nestled in Serangoon Gardens is Sun Ray Cafe, a humble pet-friendly café that is perhaps the first and oldest pet-friendly cafés in town, since its opening in December 2017. Not only are dogs welcome here, all four-legged pets are equally welcome.

While the café offers a great breakfast menu with classic comfort food choices, artisanal bread and hand-brewed coffee, Sun Ray is also a NEA-licensed pet-friendly café serving a dedicated menu crafted specially for pets, offering pet food that is full of flavour, and is also safe for consumption. They even restrict ingredients that are toxic to pets in human food, just in case your pet takes an unauthorised bite off your plate. Now you know where to order in a meat or fruit-based dog-friendly cake! Not only can your pet dine indoors and be comfortable in the spacious eatery, but the restaurant also provides thoughtful amenities such as pee pads, water bowls and leashes, to ensure everyone has a good time.

Two Bakers

A hidden gem in Jalan Besar, Two Bakers is already well known for its brunch classics, hearty mains, French pastries and specialty coffees, while also being home to artisanal customised cakes. And now that it’s a newly certified pet-friendly café too, it’s no surprise that this pet-friendly café is a popular address to get some respite from the heat indoors on hot days, as well as the well-sheltered outdoor seating area!

Indulge in some delicious, homemade comfort food classics such as röstis, breakfast platters, freshly baked bagels, salads, risottos and pastas. And then get into the desserts! While you’re enjoying French-inspired desserts fused with local heritage flavours, the lovely baker duo here have thoughtfully created a special menu specially just for pets. Serving seriously good vibes here!
