Bringing together the gastronomic superstars of Singapore, the Michelin Guide 2022 Star Revelation returns for the first time after the pandemic. Themed Singapore Celebrated, the prestigious in-person event this year was held at Marina Bay Sands to laud Singapore’s diverse and constantly innovating dining scene.
In its sixth edition, Singapore retains its title as a melting pot of culture with 52 restaurants receiving their stars, up from the 49 in 2021. Restaurants were judged on the quality of their ingredients, cooking technique and flavours, projection of the chef’s personality in his or her cuisine, value for money, as well as consistency.
Three Michelin Stars
Coming up on top, last year’s triple threat Les Amis, Odette and Zen continue their reign, maintaining the highest of standards in the industry, thanks to the likes of Chef Sebastien Lepinoy, Chef Julien Royer and Chef Björn Frantzén.
Two Michelin Stars
Swinging the two-stars category, all five restaurants from last year retained their ranks, including Saint Pierre and Shisen Hanten by Chen Kentaro. The category also saw two new entrants – Cloudstreet and Thevar, both of which earned another star hot on the heels after its first one last year.
