Pour Yourself into the Singapore Cocktail Week 2015 – Bartender Lineup Announced!

Ready yourselves for a boozy week in March 2015, fellow barflies – the inaugural Singapore Cocktail Week has landed! A celebration of the local cocktail scene and our expanding crew of bartending talents, this 8-day festival put together by Curated Events and William Grant & Sons kicks off on 7 March. We’ve the full scoop on what’s happening and who’s participating (both local and international).
What to Expect
We’re gonna tell you the best part first: almost 30 of the best cocktail bars in Singapore have been handpicked and confirmed to be participating in the inaugural edition of this festival, and their signature #SGCocktailWeek cocktails are going at a special rate of $14++ for ticket holders!
Cocktail enthusiasts can also start getting excited by the cocktail workshops hosted and conducted by participating bars, as well as the five cocktail tours. The latter is fashioned like a bar crawl, so you can anticipate a spirit-focused cocktail awaiting you at the various pit stops on the tour.
Not only will there be a variety of pop-up bars will be, so to speak, popping up throughout the duration of the festival, 10 of the best bartenders in the world will be jetting into town and guest bartending at selected participating bars.
Last but not least, the Singapore Bar Awards is back. With categories like ‘Best Female Bartender 2015’ and ‘Best Bar Food 2015’, the winners will emerge after a tally of votes from 100 Singapore-based bartenders, spirit importers, journalists and influencers.
Who to Expect
The international contingent will see industry famous folks like Nathan Beasley (Melbourne) of Black Pearl & The Attic, Steve Schneider (New York) of Employees Only, and Amanda Wan (Hong Kong) of The Envoy. This will be a really long article if we gave you the entire rundown of the participating local watering holes, so here are some of the highlights: 28HKS, Cufflink Club, Anti:dote, Tippling Club, Jigger & Pony, L’Aiglon, Manhattan Bar, Spiffy Dapper, and Operation Dagger.

Available from 19 January 2015 online, festival-goers can purchase their tickets, which comes in a set of eight wristbands (one for each day of the festival). Priced at $38, the wristbands entitle guests to a 10% discount on cocktail tours and workshops, complimentary cocktails at pop-up bars, and as we mentioned, the special rate of $14++ for the bars’ signature Singapore Cocktail Week drinks. FYI, the first 500 to purchase their tickets will enjoy an early bird deal at $28 and there’s a bundle deal of $140 for 6 sets of wristbands. Don’t say we didn’t share, and it’s definitely best to get your tickets ASAP.
