CLASS VACANCY
This is going to be an intimate class with only 12 students, we want to make sure you will get lots of personal attention from the teacher.
Get excited because, just picture this: after this class you will be able to make the most beautiful, personalized screen printed tote bags, t-shirts, tea towels… onesies, yes baby onesies. It will be cute, it will be amazing. We are bringing in no-one less than Lisette Scheers, famous for her beautiful prints and patterns, to teach you how to make the nicest patterns and how to put these on cloth. She will be demonstrating the basics of screen printing, that can be used for printing on all sorts of different materials including paper. Lisette will also introduce you to the materials you would need to begin the screen printing process. Then you can get your hands dirty and try all your new skills for yourself, with Lisette there to help you along the way.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
The price of the class does not only cover 3,5 hours of screen printing fun, but also, delicious food and drinks. The screen printing materials such as a screen, squeegee, a tea towel and a bag for you to customise, will all be included as well, and are all yours to take home to continue the screen printing fun with (all goodies worth $80). We will be providing paint too of course. Thereby, students are encouraged to bring cloth items they would like to screen print as well, because why not? It’s going to be print-sane.
We can’t wait. Can you?
ABOUT LISETTE
No stranger to prints and patterns, Lisette Scheers is the brains behind Nala designs, colourful and unique products with a traditional twist. With a wish to bring back the lost art of letter writing, Lisette started Nala with stationery inspired by Straits Chinese porcelain, but over the years, Nala has quickly expanded to carry much more than just stationery. Nala now boasts a range of fashion accessories, such as jewellery and bags, as well as, home decor pieces.
The resourceful businesswoman splits her time between Nala and her design and advertising company L.Inc. With her 15 years of experience in the design and advertising industry, her ‘east meets west design sense’ and having lived in Asia for 20 years, Lisette brings a fresh take to art forms we have seen around since our childhood. Many in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia call her a creative genius for her innovative design campaigns and clients alike including the BIG Group, BRDB, Bank Negara Malaysia, the E&O Group and Harper’s Bazaar.
