And just like that, we’re at the end of January. Pack your last week of the month with mouth-watering premium grilled meats, new cocktail menus with bold flavours, and satisfyingly stinky durian treats. This week, the food scene in Singapore is anything but dull.
Opus Bar and Grill Impresses with New Menu Additions
Calling all carnivores: Opus Bar & Grill is back again with an impressive new menu at the freshly relaunched voco Orchard. Whet your appetite with their treasure trove of premium quality steaks, sustainably-sourced seafood, and fresh herbs grown in-house in a vertical garden. New faces on the menu include Wagyu Short Rib Croquettes and Saffron Seafood Risotto, along with plant-based delights like the Impossible Chicken Burger (S$35.31). For a date night, we recommend the crowd-favourite Whiskey-aged Rangers Valley Wagyu Tomahawk (S$179.76), perfect for sharing.

Drool Over Durian at 99 Old Trees’ New Hotspot
Beloved durian retailer 99 Old Trees has relocated to the heart of the city in Chinatown. Its new café-style space is nothing short of stunning, with hand-painted murals, botanical-inspired interiors, and even a scenic alfresco area. Besides fresh durian during the season, this durian haven is also serving durian pastries and desserts under sister brand Stinky. Two new treats are on offer: the Stinky Roll (S$6.50 for a quarter piece, S$25 for a foot long) is a spongy Swiss roll filled with fresh Mao Shan Wang flesh and French custard cream. Meanwhile, the Stinky Bomb ($1.80 per piece, minimum 2 pieces) is pocket-friendly yet flavour-packed, with its choux puff packed with creamy Mao Shan Wang flesh.

Raise a Glass to European Art Deco at ATLAS
Ingeniously combining Art Deco architecture and crowd-favourite tipples, ATLAS’ new drinking menu, Sense of Place, is sure to leave you buzzed. Raise a glass to the ornate beauty of European Art Deco landmarks like the La Samaritaine in France with Pont Neuf Daisy (S$25) featuring blue cheese infused cognac and calvados, or the Helsinki Central Station in Finland with Anethum Granite (S$24), boasting a housemade base of vodka infused with herbs and spices. Hop On a Gastronomic Ride to Taiwan
