Velvet Underground – Dance and Moonbeats Asia proudly present to you The Deep End, a monthly night featuring only the best beats and tunes to make you swoon. Curating an eclectic mix of regional and international producers and DJs, The Deep End will be the one place to blast into space, one time where the paradigm of life is to feel alive.
For our fifth edition of The Deep End on November 13, we welcome German electronic maestro Apparat who will be returning to Singapore for the second time to headline our night. Come and surrender yourself to the dance floor as he takes over the decks to bring us an exclusive DJ Set!
Sascha Ring, working under stage moniker Apparat, needs little or no introduction within the world of contemporary electronic music. Ring has earned himself worldwide recognition and impressed international tastemakers and music fans alike. In early 1999, he co-founded the German imprint Shitkatapult label with Marco Haas (aka T. Raumschmiere), and later released several critically acclaimed Apparat studio albums. Raising his game, Apparat worked with DJ Ellen Allien on a collaborative studio album titled ‘Orchestra of Bubbles’, which was released in 2006. He also teamed up with Modeselektor to form minimal techno supergroup Moderat, and together they have successfully launched two full-length albums and toured all five continents. Apparat is one with flexible functions, and its sound is as eclectic as its musical horizon is broad. Its emotional chip features an option on happiness and its sound waves are able to tear your heart apart.
