We hope you’re hungry because good things are coming soon to your belly, from the iconic restaurant Amber in Hong Kong to Maldives‘s new barbecue joint and a special Game of Thrones whisky pop-up. Also, how does a free holiday in Fiji sound?
Legendary Hong Kong Restaurant Amber Reopens
Amber is no small fry in the Hong Kong dining scene, and their accolades include two Michelin stars and highly-coveted rankings on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list. After more than ten years in operation, they’ve now reopened after a four month-long renovation with 50 new dishes — all completely free of dairy and refined sugar. The Dutch(man) behind it all is Culinary Director Richard Ekkebus, who favours using seasonal Japanese produce such as abalone and sea urchin in his cooking. Amber’s signature might have been overhauled, but we have no doubt they’ll soon again send its credentials soaring.
Amber is located at The Landmark, Mandarin Oriental, 15 Queen’s Road Central, Central, Hong Kong, p. +852 2132 0066. Open daily 12pm – 2pm, 6pm – 9pm.

FOR FOREST To Be Unveiled in Austria This September
There is watching football, and there is watching football. Worthsee Football Stadium in Klagenfurt is being transformed Austria’s largest public art installation this September, and will stay that way for more than a month. Inspired by a dystopian drawing by artist and architect Max Peintner, Klaus Littman’s FOR FOREST sees around 300 trees (some weighing up to six tons each) transplanted over the football pitch to replicate a native central European forest. Audiences will experience a unique panorama of trees under natural light or floodlight. Whichever the case, it’s an ever-changing landscape of gloriousness.
FOR FOREST will run at Worthersee Stadium in Klagenfurt, Austria, from 9 September to 27 October 2019.
