Creamier Collaborates: Chocolate Tau Yew Tempeh Crunch
In the fourth and last instalment of the Creamier Collaborates series, the iconic neighbourhood ice cream shop has partnered with chef-owner Willin Low of Wild Rocket to create the limited edition Chocolate Tau Yew Tempeh Crunch ($4.50/scoop). The bizarre-sounding flavour captures the complex savoury-sweet umami of the humble dark soy sauce through a twist on dark chocolate ice cream, employing fermented dark soy caramel to round out the flavour and cut through the cloying sweetness with its subtle saltiness, along with local tempeh for added crunch and texture.
Creamier is located at #01-835 128 Toa Payoh Lorong 1, Singapore 310128, p. +65 6250 1476 and 5A Lock Rd, Singapore 108927, p. +65 6262 1087. Open Tue-Thu 12pm – 10pm, Fri-Sat 12pm – 11pm, Sun 12pm – 10pm. Closed Mon.
