What to expect at $100Gourmet – A Citibank special for all food lovers

Singapore’s reputation as a food paradise is about to get a massive boost. Conceptualised by Citibank, $100Gourmet is a year-long gastronomy programme featuring some of the finest culinary experts in the world. Beginning in April, each month will showcase a different visiting chef, who will then team with two Singaporean restaurants to present a six-course menu over eight days.
Citibank cardholders, rejoice! A seat at each dinner during $100Gourmet is available to you at $100++, as opposed to the usual $180++, which is a really good deal (if you ask us). Furthermore, you’ll be tasting three new creations crafted by the visiting and local chef in partnership and may never be seen again – how’s that for exclusive?

The organisers are starting $100Gourmet with a bang, ’cause we have two visiting chefs for the month of April. The first visiting chef, Laurent Peugeot, will join forces with Emmanuel Stroobant of Saint Pierre, and Fukashi Abachi of Fat Cow (which is, unfortunately, already sold out!).
From left: Niklas Ekstedt, Jason Tan.
The second visiting chef, Niklas Ekstedt, will pair up with Jason Tan of Corner House. Their teamwork will see an intriguing mixture of unorthodox styles, with Chef Niklas’s kitchen philosophy of using only open flame, and Chef Jason’s signature style of gastro-botanica.
