YUCK – Live in Singapore
yuck

Not many kids can boast about putting out the year’s best pop-grunge debut album before the age of 20. That was back in 2011, when Yuck release their DIY album on Fat Possum Records to massive critical acclaim, catapulting them to the international stage. They’ve since toured extensively, selling out headline shows at New York’s Music Hall of Williamsburg, London’s Electric Ballroom, and festivals like Glastonbury and Primavera Sound. With support from upcoming local act Subsonic Eye and Hong Kong’s DJ Jane Blondel, this will be a blast.

YUCK – Live in Singapore is happening on Tuesday, 13 September 2016, 7.30pm at Hood Bar and Cafe. Tickets are priced at $55, available via Peatix. For more details, check out the event page here.

North of the DMZ: A Photography Exhibition by Wong Maye-E
north of the dmz

Perfectly symmetrical national parade displays and a fun day out at the beach are just some of the images that will be showcased at North of the DMZ, a photo exhibition by Singapore photojournalist Wong Maye-E. She’s been the Associated Press’ lead photographer in the reclusive state since 2014, which allows her access to bouts of nationalistic fervour and intimate slices of life on the streets of Pyongyang. Raising questions about propaganda and reportage, perception and reality, this is your chance to see the world’s most secretive state.

North of the DMZ: A Photography Exhibition by Wong Maye-E is running from 13 September to 15 October 2016 at Objectifs. Admission is free. For more details, check out the event page here.
