SAVOUR 2015 – The Highlights

SAVOUR 2015 Highlights

Singapore’s biggest gourmet food festival – more than 18, 000 people turned up last year – returns for its 4th edition at the F1 Pit Building. It might be the same old parade with the gourmet market, celebrity chef master classes, a hands-on cooking studio, and culinary workshops, but everyone is doing something extra special this year for SG50, and SAVOUR is no exception.

For one, you can expect some of the biggest names in the Singaporean food scene to be present, such as Andre Chiang (Restaurant Andre), Janice Wong (2am:dessertbar), Ryan Clift (Tippling Club), Chris Millar (Stellar@1-Altitude), and Emmanuel Stroobant (Saint Pierre).

Visiting international chefs include the talented Luke Burgess of Garagistes (Tasmania, Australia) and Daniel Clifford of UK’s Midsummer House. Fans of three- Michelin-starred demon chef Alvin Leung (Bo Innovation, Hong Kong) can also look forward to his return to SAVOUR this year.

Vino lovers would be pleased to hear that they’re expanding the wine section to more than 150 wine labels! And on top of the wine appreciation workshops you’ve come to anticipate, there’s also going to be sake appreciation classes at the festival, showcasing their range of 85 labels of sake.

The gourmet market is always a highlight for us and we hear there’s going to be plethora of products that we’ve never seen before in Singapore, like Japanese white strawberries that supposedly taste like pineapples.

For the full line-up of chefs and schedules for master classes, see their website here.
