Hi Alberto! What brought you to Singapore?

All thanks to job that got me here in Singapore. I’ve started working Boggi Milano and saw it as my chance to leave Italy and finally see what’s happening in the world. I was first sent to Salzburg, Austria and then after 18 months, I was transferred to Singapore for the opening of the new flagship store in Marina Bay Sands (MBS).

How do you find Asia?

Asia has definitely changed me for the better. When I first arrived, I was shocked but it didn’t take long for me to feel like I was in a wonderland. There are so many choices for food and they are mostly good. It was a crazy notion (to me) that we can find quality food at 24-hour places.
As for the people, I think I’ve been really lucky in meeting new people and lucky enough to have this special group of friends which I’m proud to call them my family.

Would you recommend anyone to work in Singapore?

Definitely. It’s growing so fast and I believe it’s one of the easiest and safest places to start a business or to look for new opportunities in Asia. I personally think it is one of the best cities to get used to Asia because the culture shock here probably isn’t as bad as other Asian cities.

So what’s next step for you?

Well, I’ve recently left Boggi Milano and I’m embarking on a new journey. As I said, living in Asia has changed me and I’m ready for new adventures to grow and learn more. I’ve decided to travel and explore part of South America because I’ve always been more attracted to the spiritual and traditions of a country or city, thus the decision to go to South America. I’m sure it’s definitely going to widen my horizons a lot more – it’s not going to be easy but as a mentor once said, “don’t worry about a thing, cause every little thing is gonna be alright”.

Will we see you back in Singapore?

I really hope I can be back soon because I’m not just leaving a city, I’m leaving a new family behind. And I just want to mention that I’ve been the luckiest guy on earth to meet all the my incredible siblings from another mother. Thank you all, you’ve been a big part of my growth and I’ll be forever thankful.
