The Bangkok National Museum

The Bangkok National Museum was opened by King Rama V to showcase gifts that were given to him by his father. There are three main segments. The first is a history gallery which spans exhibits from the Sukhothai to Rattanakosin period. The other two galleries are an archaeological and art exhibit respectively which showcases artefacts from the beginning of Thailand to today’s modern era.
Getting there: Take a taxi. Or embark the Chao Phraya Express Boat to Maharaj Pier, then walk about 20 minutes.
