Zarina: Directions to My House at STPI

This landmark solo exhibition brings together over 50 works by Zarina (1937–2020), one of the most significant printmakers of the late 20th and early 21st centuries, in the largest presentation of her practice in Southeast Asia. Curated by Sarah Burney, Zarina’s former studio manager, the show traces a body of work shaped by exile, migration, and the idea of home, spanning woodcut prints, personal cartographies, and works layered with Urdu text and familial memory. Alongside the exhibition, STPI presents a series of public programmes including collagraphy and chine collé workshops, guided tours, and a free drop-in charcoal rubbing activity on selected Saturdays.
