Hotel Vagabond: Vagabond Bar

If you’re a fan of the arts, you’ll definitely want to check this one out. Singapore’s newest luxury boutique hotel has one mission: to create an art-driven experience for its guests, featuring an arts programme comprising of activities ranging from art openings to recitals, plays, and fashion shows. In addition to housing a carefully curated art collection, the first floor (known as The Salon) houses Proof & Company’s latest hotel bar project, Vagabond Bar.

 

An immaculately designed bar that offers handcrafted cocktails, artisan spirits and wines, you can expect surprising and novel offerings, as well as exciting renditions of your favourite classic drinks. Their current Artist-in-Residence, Captain Planet will be spinning at the bar from Wednesdays to Saturdays.

M Hotel: J Bar

M Hotel: J Bar

Although it’s billed as a premiere business hotel, M Hotel is just as popular a downtown staycation venue for weekend getaways due to its spacious rooms, excellent amenities, and proximity to the Tanjong Pagar neighbourhood and Chinatown heritage centre. And of course, there’s the leading contemporary J Bar up on the 9th floor, home to some of Singapore’s top local bands (performing every day from 8.30pm) – making it an excellent venue for unwinding over beer, tapas, and one of their special blended one-of-a-kind martinis. There’s even a Ladies Night every Saturday. J Bar’s still a bit of an undiscovered gem, for it’s mostly hotel guests who stumble across it. That’s not really a bad thing though…more for us!
