67th SCC International Rugby 7s 2014

THE Singapore Cricket Club International Rugby 7s (SCC 7s) celebrates its 67th edition this year, a testament to its longevity and global popularity, and promises to feature world-class teams along with quality new and professional club sides and deliver the same brand of top-notch rugby action that has become synonymous with the SCC International Rugby 7s over the years.

Fans can look forward to the likes of former champions, the Penguins (2010) from the UK, Daveta (2011& 2012 winners) from Fiji, and Randwick (1993) from Australia as they look set to lock horns and battle for the coveted Ablitt Cup over three pulsating days of non-stop action. The Penguins featured prominently last year when they narrowly lost the final in sensational and heart-breaking fashion to The Dragons from Asia Pacific. This year will also see the maiden campaigns for new teams like Grenoble University Rugby from France and the People’s Liberation Army from China. They will be joined by Singapore’s representatives including Singapore Barbarians and the Singapore National Team.

The action unfolds from 31st October to 2nd November 2014 at the historic Padang, and rugby enthusiasts can look forward to another weekend of non-stop adrenaline rush and plenty of fun and entertainment for families and friends.

The Singapore Cricket Club (SCC) would like to take a moment to remember the contributions of SCC’s late president, Mr A. Michael Grice. Michael’s passion and unrelenting commitment to develop and propel the local rugby scene to greater heights will be greatly missed. His leadership and vision for the sport and the club as a whole will always be remembered, and will forever be an integral part of the SCC ethos.

Ticket sales will commence on Monday, 1st September 2014 with early bird specials, and are available on [Ticketbooth](http://www.ticketbooth.com.sg), all TicketBooth outlets and all NTUC club houses.
