Flavours of Italy Wine Dinner

Omakase (pronounced O-Ma-Ka-Seh) is a Japanese phrase that means ‘I’ll leave it to you’. Besides serving wine from various regions of Italy, we have 2 of the best Italian experts from the industry partnering to bring you this wine dinner, Fabio Magnani and Gabriel Fratini, our wine expert and re-known chef respectively.

Fabio Magnani has been 1 of the best selectors of Italian wine on an international level. Being a native, he collaborates with importers and exporters worldwide for the selection and communication strategy in the wine and food sector. Fabio has been in the wine industry for 25 years while having worked and studied with the best wine experts and ‘noses’. During this time, Fabio is a wine journalist and speaker and also a professor of tasting techniques and various associations. He has published three books. When he is not tasting…he is re-tasting.

Gabriel Fratini has been a dedicated Italian chef for nearly four decades, working in some of the leading hotels of the world before running his award winning restaurants in Singapore, Australia, Jakarta, and Italy. He has also been a private chef to some of the world’s wealthiest people where he learnt to cater to those most discerning and demanding palates around. Whatever in the world he may be, he will always creating new dishes but keeping close to his Italiano roots.

While Fabio will be explaining the wines and terroir to you, Gabriel will be whipping up the best foods to describe the regions to provide the perfect wedding of the food and wine and perhaps taking you back to their hometowns too.
