‘Journey of Time’ reflects the passage of our past, the present and the future with a journey of three different cultures: Kathak, Flamenco and Contemporary
Directed by legendary Flamenco Maestro Antonio Vargas, ‘Journey of Time’ will meld musical and dance influences together into a spectacular showcase through the passages of time with the collaboration of three dance groups / companies, namely:
• Ponnamma Devaiah and Classical Kathak Dancers
• Flamenco Sin Fronteras
• Maya Dance Theatre Company
Weaved together by a stellar musical ensemble that includes the Flamenco piano and voice, the Indian tabla, sitar and voice and the violin and electronic keyboard, the original music will be helmed by 3 musical composers:
• Award-winning Flamenco pianist and composer, Pablo Ruben Maldonando, Spain
• Recipient of Young artiste award 2011, Tabla Maestro Nawas Mirajkar, Singapore
• Acclaimed violinist and composer, Yong Kai Lin, Singapore
