The biennial National Piano and Violin Competition (NPVC) is back for its 10th edition! Celebrate musical excellence as more than 150 young musicians vie for top honours at the competition. Witness renowned international adjudicators such as Anna Jastrzebska-Quinn and Daniel Garlitsky (see Annex A) conduct Violin & Piano Masterclasses; catch the excitement as finalists perform concertos in the Violin & Piano Finals (Artist Category); and enjoy a spectacular showcase of the nation’s finest young talents as selected winners perform concertos with the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra in the Prize Winners’ Concert & Prize Presentation Ceremony.
First organised in 1997, the event is a major platform for young classical musicians to perform before international judges, be inspired and carve a place for themselves in the Singapore classical music scene! The 2015 competition is co-organised by the National Arts Council and Singapore Symphony Orchestra.
