Singapore is turning 49 this weekend and the nation is throwing one hell of a party! As you enjoy the beautiful yearly fireworks with your loved ones, pimp it up with some delicious cuisine and celebratory drinks! In the spirit of National Day, a few of our favorite food and drink artisans have crafted delicious menus and cocktails for you to enjoy while you celebrate Singapore in the month of August.
Celebratory Drinks
Cook & Brew
The inventive patriots at Cook & Brew have come up with some very interesting shots with infusions of your favorite Singaporean drinks like Milo Dinosaur (OMG), Bandung and Teh Tarik ($4.50 each). Keeping things local, gather your friends to share a bucket of 5 Tiger Radlers ($49) with yummy local delights on the Singaporean Food Platter ($49). All this with an exquisite view from the 33rd floor of The Westin- why not?!

Senso Ristorante & Bar
In the spirit of celebrating the nation’s 49th birthday, Senso’s bar has come up with a beautiful concoction inspired by our national flower, called the the Red Orchid ($16). A delicately sweet vodka-based and berrulicious drink, it will definitely be a great way to ching-ching to the nation’s big day. This drink is available for the entire month of August, alongside a special after-hours deal which gives you a glass of Red Orchid, Prosecco, House Wines, Beers or Spirits at $10++ each!
The after-hours deal is available from 8-10pm, excluding eve of public holidays and public holidays.
Pelican Deck
If you fancy a perfect view of the Marina Bay skyline and National Day fireworks, you can head down to the Pelican Deck for some drinks with your friends. Gather a group of 8 and have your own table at the beautiful deck ($549++) with 2 bottles of Veuve Clicquot Brut champagne, 1 bottle of Belvedere or Glenmorangie Original to enjoy your National Day night out.

Kinki Bar

Feasting with a View
The Pelican
Avoid having the crowd blocking your insanely beautiful view of the National Day fireworks as you dine at The Pelican. The good folks at The Pelican are offering up a 4-course dinner menu ($120/pax), featuring raw jumbo scallop salad, home-cured Norwegian salmon, a main dish of either US beef striploin or yellow fin tuna loin, and last but definitely not least, the whoopie pie. On top of that, enjoy the delicious menu with a complimentary glass of Veuve Clicquot Brut!

Fat Cow
Whisky fans, listen up! For the whole month of August, Fat Cow is offering up a menu matched by smooth single-malt whisky at $148++ per person. Enjoy the rich flavors of the menu along with some hand-picked whisky in the spirit of the Singapore’s birthday month!

Bedrock Bar & Grill
Another place for the Whisky fans to check out this August is the Bedrock Bar & Grill, as they kindly serve up a whisky and beef pairing menu at a worthy $138++ per pax. The menu features the NY strip steak, prime beef carpaccio and Saga-Gyu ribeye, elegantly paired with a hand-selected range of exquisite Glenmorangie single malt scotch whisky. How would you resist?!
